Well you are partially right. You have come to the right place, but where you went wrong is thinking the guy in the picture was me. Oh, and the small little detail about how I know everything about beer and how to make it. That is also not me, yet. Like you, I am still learning.

I know what is a good and bad beer, well according to my taste. I also have read a few good books, talked with a few brew masters, and been to several breweries around the world.
Please, stick around because I am going to break down the fundamentals of beer in a way that everyone can understand. Well at least for those with only a couple beers in them. And I am going to show you some incredible breweries along the way.
Now On to the real Story of Us
Hey there, world! We’re John and Jenny, proud Kansas City natives who swapped our ‘business as usual’ lifestyles for a life that’s brewing with adventure and travel.
Just picture us: a couple of starry-eyed 18-year-olds, falling head over heels for each other. Fast forward a few years and we’re saying ‘I do,’ just a week after Jenny trades in her college cap and gown for a wedding dress. For two decades, we clocked in and out of our 9-5 jobs, dreaming about vacation days.
And then? Well, the world turned upside down with the pandemic and it was a game changer for us. It got us questioning: why do we work our lives away, hoping to squeeze in a little adventure after retirement? What if our sunset years don’t turn out to be the endless vacation we hope for? What if, heaven forbid, one of us checked out early?
No siree, we decided we weren’t going to let life buzz by us like a beer keg at a frat party. As soon as the world cracked open its doors again, we decided to take the bull by the horns. So, in 2022, we took the plunge: quit our jobs, sold our house, and started living life unfiltered and on our terms. And let us tell you, it’s been one heck of a brew-tiful journey!

Howdy, fellow beer people! Growing up, family camping trips brewed in me a deep love for exploring the ‘ale-some’ landscapes of the USA. I’ve now knocked back 5 out of 7 continents (Antarctica and Australia, you’re on my ‘tap’ list!). My heart belongs to Scotland, its breathtaking beauty, and our unforgettable camper van escapades. I’m a certified Network Engineer with an IT degree under my belt – from anything electronic or computer/network based systems up to complex EOCs (emergency operations centers), if it’s tech-related, I’ve got it ‘barreled’ down! As a type-B personality, I love to ‘hop’ around when we travel, with plans as flexible as a bottle cap. Let’s set off on this beer-venture!

Hey there! My first taste of travel had me saying ‘G’day mate!’ in Australia and New Zealand at just 13. By 14, I was saying ‘Bonjour’, ‘Guten Tag’, and ‘Ciao’ in a dozen European countries, all while tagging along with my granny. Now, I’ve left footprints on 6 out of 7 continents and over 30 countries – Antarctica, I’m coming for ya! I’m nuts about wildlife photography and South Africa stole my heart. I hold two college degrees – one in accounting (I was a whiz with numbers in my past life) and another in photography, which I now use for our blogs.
